Over 150 Years of History and an Unlimited Future

When the smoke of war finally cleared, the Odd Fellows who had been meeting in Charleston for years formed a new lodge under the new jurisdiction of West Virginia. Kanawha Lodge #25 was officially launched on December 5, 1865. The lodge laid the cornerstone of its permanent home on September 10, 1902. Over the years, the lodge has been home to members of all walks of life and done much to contribute to making its community a better place.

The initial members of Kanawha Lodge were from all backgrounds, just as we are today

In the past, only men could be Odd Fellows but that has long since changed and all enjoy our Lodge today

Over the years, several members of our lodge have risen to the top of the Odd Fellows in West Virginia

Everywhere you look, there are momentos of our past sitting right next to the newest activities of our lodge

In the beginning records were kept meticulously by hand in excellent penmanship. With modern technology things are easier today but the standards of quality remain

Odd Fellowship at Kanawha Lodge has always been family friendly and always will be

Even when times were tough, like hosting this gathering during the Great Depression, Kanawha Lodge was and is always there for its members and community

It was a festive day when the cornerstone for the Odd Fellows Building was laid and our home continues to bring us joy

Styles change but Fellowship never does and at Kanawha Lodge, it never will
